Stage 1: If a TRACKER Echo equipped vehicle is illegally moved, a movement sensor hidden in the vehicle sends a signal to TRACKER HQ.
Or if the unique driver validation tag registered to your vehicle cannot be detected by the TRACKER unit, indicating that your car could have been taken with the keys, again a silent alert is sent to TRACKER HQ.
Stage 2: TRACKER HQ contacts the vehicle owner to confirm whether the vehicle has been stolen. When confirmed as stolen to TRACKER HQ and the police, tracking can commence. The vehicle emits geographical positioning data via GPS and GSM technologies and a silent land based radio signal.
Stage 3: The geographical positioning data is being picked up by the TRACKER 24 hour Control Centre. The vehicle's precise position is determined and the appropriate police force is notified. Meanwhile, the silent signal can also be picked up by any of the UK's 52 police forces that are within the vicinity of the stolen vehicle.
If the European coverage subscription has been paid, then the same degree of tracking can be provided in Europe in partnership with a new, multi-country 24-hour service called EUROWATCH. On TRACKER's behalf, EUROWATCH communicates with the appropriate European police force to ensure the fast recovery of your vehicle.
Stage 4: On customer request, a uniformed guard waits with your vehicle until the AA recover it to a destination of your choice - anywhere in mainland Britain. This service applies only to stolen vehicles located anywhere within mainland Great Britain.
